Language teachers have used images to stimulate talk for years. I often use images as a way into a topic or to stimulate creative writing or speaking. Whilst surfing, I found ww.PictureTrail.com which allows you to create really nice ways of presenting your images and gives you the opportunity to display several images and then choose one to highlight. I stuck some random images from my hard drive into the example below...muy cool! I think I will have a go at creating a cube based on my current AS level topic on family (what, family? Didn't we do that in Y7 and then again in Y10?)


I love TED. In fact I have been saving up every penny I see lying on the ground to pay for a ticket and flight to attend a TED conference. I only have another 499,900 pennies to go. So while I am waiting, I content myself with regularly watching videos from the conference on
